Job summary

Civil Science is seeking an experienced Transportation Design Project Manager to support and grow our Utah transportation practice. This role targets a licensed PE with deep transportation design experience and a strong track record delivering DOT and municipal projects.

You will lead projects from pursuit through delivery, oversee scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and serve as the primary contact for UDOT and municipal clients while mentoring engineers and fostering business development in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license required; Utah licensure within three months of hire or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant transportation design experience.
• Experience delivering DOT and/or municipal transportation projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Strong understanding of roadway, drainage, utility, or traffic design.
• Excellent communication, client management, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design projects from pursuit through delivery.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and project performance.
• Serve as primary contact for UDOT and municipal clients.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide technical oversight.
• Ensure adherence to agency standards and project requirements.
• Support business development and proposals; mentor team members.
