Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our Transportation team in Scranton, PA, on a full-time basis. The candidate will lead projects, provide technical guidance, and manage scope, schedule, budgeting, and profitability while based at the Scranton office.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 12+ years of Civil Engineering experience (transportation design preferred), and an active PA PE license or progress toward it within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related technical discipline).
• At least 12 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering (preferably with Transportation Design projects).
• Active PA P.E. license or able to obtain within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineers & technical staff.
• Lead and manage complex engineering tasks and projects.
• Demonstrate mastery of project management skills to improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Deliver scope, schedule, budget, quality, and profitability of all projects.
• Develop project schedules and cost budgets and analyze relevant financial data.
• Monitor project costs and billings with Project Accounting to meet budgeted profits; analyze performance data weekly.
• Support management to develop productivity and profitability goals for the Division.
• Monitor division performance monthly against forecasts and prior performance, and develop corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with business development by pursuing opportunities and maintaining client relationships.
