Job summary

Pennoni Associates seeks a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer/Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary highway projects for PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. The role requires PA PE licensure, strong project management, and ability to coordinate structural, traffic/ITS, stormwater, and utilities disciplines.

You will manage scope, schedule, and budget, prepare SOIs/proposals, and mentor junior staff across Pennoni offices in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Experience developing winning SOI and proposals for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and other transportation entities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region.
• Licensed Professional Engineer – PA (PA PE).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary highway projects and delivering on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Project management for multidisciplinary highway projects with PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Coordinate structural/bridge, traffic/ITS, stormwater, utilities and related disciplines on highway design projects.
• Prepare supplements when scope/schedule change due to unforeseen conditions.
• Prepare and submit progress reports and invoices; mentor and develop staff.

Pennoni Associates is currently looking for a Senior Highway Transportation Engineer/Project Manager with experience consistent, but not limited to:

• Project Manager for multidisciplinary projects with PennDOT District 6-0 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
• Engineering disciplines will include structural/bridge, traffic /ITS, stormwater management, utilities and more. Support highway design projects for PennDOT being executed in Pennoni offices throughout Pennsylvania.
• Support NJDOT and DelDOT projects as required.
• Responsible project performance including schedule, cost and management of the scope of work, delivering on-time and within budget performance.
• Preparation of supplements when scope and/or schedule change attributed to unforeseen conditions.
• Prepare and execute project specific quality management plans.
• Prepare and submit progress reports and invoices as the Project Manager.
• Mentor and develop staff.

Additional Required Attributes

• Experience in the development of winning Statement of Interest (SOI) and proposals for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and other transportation entities in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region.
• Licenses required: Professional Engineer – PA

Preferred Attributes

• Understanding of PA Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) regulation and permitting process.
• Active participant in the professional associations such as ASCE, ASHE, PSPE, TRB, AASHTO, IBTTA and others.
