Job summary

U.S. Bank in Minneapolis seeks an experienced Portfolio Manager to partner with Relationship Managers and oversee Institutional Client Group credit relationships in the Transportation sector.

You will underwrite all types of credit exposures, manage a diversified portfolio, close new business, expand existing relationships, and respond to credit inquiries while delivering strong client service and cross‑sell opportunities across the bank.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of commercial banking experience.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial lending policy, laws and credit standards.
• Strong relationship management and business development abilities with credit product knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work across the company to manage customer relationships and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite all types of credit account exposure.
• Manage an assigned credit portfolio and related risk.
• Close new business relationships and expand existing relationships.
• Provide customer service and respond to credit questions.
• Participate in joint sales calls with Relationship Managers and identify customer needs.
