Transportation Project Manager

Job summary

AECOM in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to lead a complex transportation program with a hybrid work model. You will direct the project, guide task leads and the project team, and manage the budget and schedule through contract closeout while acting as the primary liaison with the client.

The role requires a BA/BS with 8 years of experience and an Arizona PE license; 15+ years of progressive experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the entire project, provide guidance to task leads and the project team, enforce company and project policies, and act as the primary liaison between AECOM and the client.
• Take full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
• Hold overall responsibility and management of the project, including budget and schedule through contract closeout.
• Serve as the primary fiscal responsible party and key liaison between the client for the assigned project.
• Work with local management to develop and execute project pursuits and delivery.
• Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for strategic pursuits and identifying required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects.
• Establish relationships with both external and internal clients.
• Manage and mentor staff to enable seamless design and plan development.
• Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally.
• Possess excellent analytical, technical, and communication (oral and written) skills.
• Demonstrate a proven track record with client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff development.

• Client relationships and business development experience.
• Experience as a project manager on transportation projects with cities and counties within Arizona.

Additional Information

• This position does not include sponsorship for US work authorization.

Compensation

USD 120,000 – 190,000 per year.
