Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks an experienced Transport Engineer to design and plan SONET and DWDM transport systems, develop capacity plans and drive network builds. You will create diagrams via Visio, coordinate with GTNOC and other stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, BOM creation, and collaboration with real estate and LOE teams to support growth across networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree and 5-10 years progressive technical experience designing SONET and DWDM transport systems.
• Proficient in drawing complex system diagrams using Visio.
• Excellent verbal and written communications; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast and monitor LD/ULH transport network capacity and infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers; coordinate with GTNOC and stakeholders for network builds.
• Develop BOMs, purchase orders, and inventory for network equipment and cables.
• Collaborate with real estate and central office teams to ensure space, power and cooling for growth.
