Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL invites applications for the position of Transplant Hepatology Lead Advanced Practice Provider. The role oversees six Transplant Hepatology APPs and works with five hepatologists in a busy, outpatient-focused transplant service.

The APP will mentor staff, participate in recruitment, manage PTO and performance reviews, and collaborate across the transplant team. Involvement in education, research, and outreach clinics is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hepatology, Abdominal Transplant or related specialty.
• MSN or DNP with clinical specialty appropriate to position.
• NP certification by ANCC or AANP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA certification by NCCPA (Physician Assistant).
• CPR and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and mentor new Transplant APPs.
• Participate in recruitment and interviews for new APP positions.
• Manage PTO and scheduling needs.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Communicate updates to the APP team and stakeholders.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives within the Transplant program.
• Collaborate with hepatologists, transplant surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
