Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a Transplant Hepatology Lead Advanced Practice Provider to oversee six APPs and work with hepatologists in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes teaching, program leadership, and involvement in research and quality initiatives.

The position requires at least three years of APP experience in hepatology or abdominal transplant, Illinois licensure, and MSN/DNP with ANCC or AANP certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hepatology, Abdominal Transplant or related specialty.
• APRN candidates may require Acute Care Certification.
• Current licensure in Illinois as NP/PA eligible and MSN/DNP with appropriate clinical specialty.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and mentor new Transplant APPs.
• Participate in recruitment and interviews for new APP positions.
• Manage PTO and scheduling needs; conduct performance evaluations.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives within the Transplant program.
• Coordinate care at discharge and manage immunosuppressive therapy.
