ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. seeks a Transmission Warranty Engineer to join the quality and engineering team on site in Auburn Hills, MI. The role focuses on warranty analysis and product improvement initiatives to enhance reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience with 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and collaboration across design, manufacturing, and service teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 5–10 years in automotive warranty analysis, product or quality engineering, or failure analysis.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems.
• Experience with teardown analysis and component diagnostics.
• Ability to read CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree.
• Analyze failed components related to transmission and driveline systems.
• Support disposition activities including teardown analysis, repairability assessment, scrap/rework recommendations, and containment actions.
• Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.
