Job summary

CARIAN is seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep transmission and substation experience to lead high-visibility electric utility capital programs across the Mid-Atlantic region. The role requires regular presence at client sites and field locations to drive execution with engineering, construction, and utility stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring 12+ years of utility project management experience and PMP certification, with a strong background in transmission and substation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical field required.
• 12+ years of utility project management experience.
• Strong background in transmission and substation programs.
• PMP certification required.
• Experience with Exelon-family utilities preferred (Pepco, ACE, DPL, PECO, BGE, ComEd).
• Must reside within the DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia, Delaware, or Baltimore footprint.
• Willingness for frequent on-site and field presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission and substation capital projects from planning through execution.
• Manage integrated project schedules, budgets, and risk profiles.
• Coordinate with utility engineering, construction, and contractor teams.
• Track project performance and drive corrective actions.
• Support executive reporting and program-level visibility.
• Ensure compliance with utility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in site visits and field coordination activities.
• Support multi-state project coordination as required.
