Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Manager – Transmission (Project Manager III) to oversee large transmission and substation projects from concept to completion. You will lead multi-discipline teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and mentor junior staff in a hybrid Phoenix environment.

The role requires deep technical knowledge of transmission, substation, and power delivery, with strong communication to stakeholders at all levels. PMP preferred; contract-to-hire arrangement in AZ.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of related project management experience.
• PM principles, processes, and methodologies knowledge.
• Strong technical knowledge of transmission, substation, and power delivery.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams and coordinating design activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple medium to large-scale transmission and substation projects on time and within budget.
• Define and manage scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables for projects.
• Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and construction teams.
• Oversee design activities including electrical design, relay, and power distribution.
• Manage documentation, change orders, and approvals.
• Mentor staff and communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
