Senior Transmission & Substation Construction Lead - Onsite

Job summary

Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects seeks an experienced Construction Manager to organize, schedule, mobilize, and coordinate transmission and distribution construction activities onsite at client locations.

You will bring 10+ years of experience in the electric power industry, leading safety, bid support, field change management, and ensuring adherence to standards while communicating with project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management with 10+ years in transmission, substation and distribution construction management.
• Minimum of ten years of transmission, substation and distribution construction experience in the electric power industry.
• Deep knowledge of transmission rebuilds, substation installations, and proven construction PM skills.
• Experience with LOTO procedures, electrical safety tags, and willingness to become a qualified Clearance Holder.
• OSHA safety policies and OSHA 30 training (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong written and oral communication skills with analytical experience.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to coordinate scope within outage windows and supervise multiple work groups/contractors.

Responsibilities

• Organize, schedule, mobilize, and coordinate transmission and distribution construction activities onsite at client sites.
• Provide constructability reviews on designs, assist in scope development for bid documents.
• Assist PMs in bid evaluation and manage construction processes to meet scope, cost, quality, and schedule.
• Manage site safety with safety audits and corrective actions.
• Ensure material availability and issue weekly status reports to the customer.
• Review and initiate field change requests to document discrepancies.
• Ensure adherence to client prints and standards.
• Lead job site walkdowns and meetings with engineering, construction, and contract management personnel.
• Serve as primary communicator between project management, work groups, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain good working relationships between PMs, line managers, and project employees.
