Atlantic Power Constructors is seeking a Project Manager to lead transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects from award to closeout. You will coordinate resources, manage budgets, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence while maintaining strong client relationships.

The role requires 5–10 years in utility project management, experience with procurement, change orders, and contract administration, plus proficiency in ERP/PM software and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 5-10 years of project management in utility construction.
  • Experience with transmission, distribution, or substation projects is preferred.
  • Strong financial, customer, and contract administration skills.
  • Proficient with estimating, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from contract award through closeout.
  • Develop execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Ensure milestones and contractual obligations are met.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigations.
  • Lead kickoff meetings and ongoing reviews.
  • Maintain project documentation and profitability.
  • Prepare billings, review payments, and manage cash flow.
  • Handle change orders and contract modifications.
  • Coordinate with field operations, procurement, safety, and leadership.
  • Develop schedules and communicate impacts and recovery plans.
