Jobot is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead high-voltage transmission and distribution projects from design through closeout, delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient results.

You will oversee external engineering partners, mentor a growing team, and partner with operations and customers to drive scheduling, budgeting, and technical excellence. The role emphasizes safety and technology integration to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering or engineering management experience in utility or high-voltage infrastructure.
• Engineering degree required; PE license preferred.
• Strong background in civil, structural, or electrical engineering and utility standards.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contracts, estimating, and project controls.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts across all project phases and support field operations as needed.
• Oversee external engineering firms, set performance expectations, and review deliverables.
• Maintain engineering standards, documentation practices, and quality controls.
• Forecast resource needs, manage staffing plans, and mentor engineering team members.
• Support proposal development, customer meetings, and overall project planning.
• Drive process improvements and integrate new technologies into engineering workflows.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and technical excellence.
• Stay current on industry codes, best practices, and emerging trends.
