Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a Transmission Program Manager SG10 to lead a portfolio of high-risk projects and supervise program managers in a matrix environment. You will drive initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and close with focus on safety, cost control, and stakeholder satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive project management experience, and the ability to coordinate across internal and external teams. On-site work is in New Albany, OH or Fort Wayne, IN.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of experience including major construction field experience or equivalent in project/program management.
• Demonstrated success in portfolio, project and/or program management with strong business acumen.
• Preferred at least two years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and oversee assigned project or program activities and supervise others.

• Develop, review and coordinate project plans, schedules, budgets and cost management.
• Communicate project details and status, lead planning meetings and complex stakeholder presentations.
