Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of electric utility/transmission experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission planning studies including power flow and stability simulations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and collaborate with clients to solve engineering needs.
• Support the firm's Transmission Planning initiatives across multiple US ISOs.

Looking for mid-senior/lead-level Transmission Planning Engineers interested in joining a fast-growing, dynamic, and collaborative team! This position will support the firm's Transmission Planning group, working on projects across all US ISOs/RTOs, with the ability to work fully remotely and/or report out of one of their office locations across the Midwest & East Coast.

The Senior Transmission Planning Engineer will be responsible for:

• Performing transmission planning studies (power flow, load flow, steady state, short circuit, stability, & dynamic simulations)
• Expertise in PSS/E, TARA, PSLF or similar software (PSCAD, EMTP, PowerWorld, ASPEN, CAPE, etc.)
• Communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and other entities
• Collaborating with clients to provide solutions to their engineering needs

The Senior Transmission Planning Engineer should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
• 3-5+ years of electric utility/transmission experience
• Experience working directly with RTOs/ISOs (PJM, MISO, ERCOT, etc.)
• Growing Transmission Planning group with opportunities for continued growth both within the group and throughout the organization
• Remote flexibility
