Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Eng, Business, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years estimating experience in utility/power delivery, transmission or heavy civil construction.
• Demonstrated experience estimating overhead transmission line projects 69kV–765kV.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and related tools.
• Ability to develop conceptual, budgetary and detailed construction estimates across project phases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and indirect cost estimates for overhead transmission line construction ranging from 69kV to 765kV.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, structure lists, bills of material, geotechnical reports, survey information, and bid docs.
• Develop estimates for transmission construction activities including foundations, structure assembly/erection, conductor installation, stringing, and restoration.
• Estimate projects with various structure types (wood, steel, concrete, monopole, H-frame, lattice).
• Analyze labor/equipment productivity and site conditions to set pricing.
• Evaluate right-of-way, access, terrain, environmental constraints, and logistics affecting costs.
• Develop bid schedules using Primavera P6 and other tools with resource loading.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, scheduling, and operations during estimating.
• Maintain historical cost databases and estimating templates for reuse.
• Support multiple bids and meet bid deadlines.
