Job summary

Entergy seeks a Transmission Line Engineer II/III/Sr in New Orleans to provide technical leadership in transmission line design standards and related engineering directives.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Asset Management, Construction, and vendors to develop and maintain line standards, review vendor drawings, and ensure compliance with NERC/SERC. PE preferred; extensive field and project coordination experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial).
• PE may be considered with relevant experience.
• Master's in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of engineering experience for Engineer II.
• 4+ years for Engineer III.
• 6+ years for Sr. Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Review transmission line standards issues identified by engineering teams, construction, and field operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams to update line design standards and related documents.
• Develop expertise on transmission line drawings, loading criteria, and related specifications.
• Create and revise standard documents, catalog IDs, and stock codes for transmission line assets.
• Review vendor drawings and specifications for structures, foundations, and hardware.
• Maintain and update the Transmission Design Basis SharePoint site and standards.
