Job summary

Tampa Electric is seeking Engineer II or Senior Engineer levels to design transmission lines that are safe, economical, and compliant with engineering standards. You will use PLS-CADD and AutoCAD to prepare drawings, specs, and BOMs, while managing projects from initiation to delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multiple internal/external teams, ensuring timely deliverables, and mentoring staff. A BS in Engineering and PE license in Florida are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Florida licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Must be able to work independently on complex assignments.
• Familiarity with Tampa Electric transmission standards and TEC tools.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design transmission lines that are safe, economical, and adhere to standards using PLS-CADD and AutoCAD.
• Provide project management for assigned projects including scheduling, cost estimating, coordination and quality control.
• Communicate and coordinate with internal and external departments to support project activities and deliverables.
• Provide support, advice and training to design staff as required.
