Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required.
• Preferred: Electrical or Civil Engineering degree; Florida licensed Professional Engineer.
• Licenses/Certifications: Florida licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Must be able to work independently on complex assignments requiring sound judgment.
• Familiarity with Tampa Electric transmission/ distribution construction specs and mapping; use MS Office, GIS, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and design transmission lines using PLS-CADD and AutoCAD; prepare and issue design drawings, specs, and BOMs.
• Provide project management for assigned projects including scheduling, cost estimating, coordination and quality control.
• Issue all project deliverables in a timely manner to support administrative, procurement, and construction activities.
• Provide support, advice and training to design and support staff as required.
