Job summary

Cleco Corporate Holdings LLC is seeking a Transmission Asset Engineer to oversee lifecycle management and strategic planning for T&D assets in Louisiana. You will manage risk, lead maintenance strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with engineering, operations, and finance teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, budgeting, and continuous improvement, leveraging CMMS/SAP and BI tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 10 years of applicable experience or 15 years of T&D experience in lieu of a degree.
Strong T&D maintenance experience with emphasis on strategic thinking, risk management and business planning.
Excellent problem-solving, analysis, and decision-making abilities.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and safety requirements in the energy sector.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with enterprise asset management software is a plus.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively with other departments.
Proficient in Power BI data or Tableau analysis to create, build, and present reports.
Proficient in ELT programs such as Power Query is a plus
In-depth knowledge and experience with CMMS systems, Asset Management, and SAP experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead asset lifecycle management strategies for T&D assets across procurement to replacement.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate asset-related risks and compliance gaps.
Oversee preventive maintenance strategies and schedules for optimal asset performance.
Monitor asset health and performance using management systems and data dashboards.
Develop and manage budgets, 5-year plans, and long-range forecasts for asset activities.
Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards across assets.
Maintain asset registers and data quality in SAP; generate KPI reports.
Negotiate and manage contracts related to T&D maintenance as needed.
Lead cross-functional teams and training initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement in asset management practices and technologies.
