Job summary

Abbott Neuromodulation seeks a Senior Research Scientist to advance translational neuroscience and biomarker discovery. You will design preclinical and clinical studies, integrate multimodal data, and apply AI/ML to uncover therapeutic mechanisms and predictors of response.

The role requires PhD-level expertise, 5+ years in neuroscience or neuromodulation, and strong collaboration across research, clinical, engineering, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience or related discipline with postdoctoral or industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in neuroscience or neuromodulation research.
• Experience designing preclinical and/or clinical studies.
• Knowledge of biomarkers and multimodal data analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute preclinical, translational, and clinical studies on neuromodulation.
• Test hypotheses on treatment response, neuroplasticity, and outcomes.
• Integrate molecular, genetic, electrophysiological, imaging, behavioral, and digital data.
• Identify and validate biomarkers for therapeutic response and MoA.
• Apply AI/ML to derive insights from complex datasets.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams.
• Analyze omics datasets to explore mechanisms and outcomes.
• Publish findings and present to stakeholders.
• Support external collaborations with academia and industry.
