Abbott Neuromodulation is seeking a Senior Research Scientist to drive translational neuroscience programs focused on neuromodulation mechanisms and next‑gen therapies. You will design preclinical and clinical studies integrating neuroscience, molecular biology, genetics, electrophysiology, digital health, and AI to uncover drivers of therapeutic response.

You will collaborate across research, clinical, engineering, regulatory, and data science teams to generate evidence informing therapy

Qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Biology, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of postdoctoral, industry, or equivalent research experience in neuroscience, neurotechnology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or related fields.
• Experience designing and executing preclinical and/or clinical research studies.
• Knowledge of neuroscience, neuromodulation, biomarker discovery, molecular biology/genetics, systems biology/computational biology, bioinformatics, or AI/ML applied to biomed datasets.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting biological, physiological, and clinical datasets.
• Strong scientific communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated record of scientific publications and research accomplishments.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute preclinical, translational, and clinical research studies on neuromodulation mechanisms.
• Develop and test hypotheses related to treatment response, neuroplasticity, and neural signaling.
• Conduct multimodal studies integrating molecular, genetic, electrophysiological, imaging, behavioral, digital, and clinical data.
• Identify and validate biomarkers related to treatment response and mechanism of action.
• Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to complex data.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics, data science, engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams to advance programs.
• Evaluate omics datasets to study mechanisms and outcomes.
• Analyze data and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Publish scientific findings and contribute to reports and presentations.
• Support collaborations with academics and external partners.
