Job summary

Evvy in New York, NY seeks a Senior ML Translational Scientist to convert vaginal microbiome data into diagnostic and prognostic tools powering our products. You’ll join a cross-functional team, transitioning research models into real-world clinical and patient-facing applications.

You’ll work with production-ready pipelines, collaborate with R&D and product, and help define what “good” looks like in performance and interpretability across real-world outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years post-PhD or post-MS experience building ML models on biological data.
• PhD strongly preferred; exceptional MS candidates considered.

Responsibilities

• Build diagnostic and prognostic models powering Evvy's clinical and consumer products.
• Work with shotgun metagenomics data paired with patient-reported outcomes.
• Own models end-to-end from feature engineering to production readiness.
• Collaborate with leadership to define model requirements and interpretation criteria.
• Translate model outputs into clinician- and patient-facing tools.
• Establish modeling standards, evaluation, validation, and uncertainty communication.
• Shape Evvy's modeling roadmap by identifying leverage in the dataset.
