Job summary

Evvy, a NYC-based women's health company, is seeking a hands-on ML Tech Lead to guide the next generation of diagnostic and prognostic products. You will lead a growing ML team within R&D, turning microbiome data into validated, product-ready models and ensuring clinical relevance.

You'll work closely with the Co-founder & CSO to set roadmaps, maintain quality, and translate scientific work into deployable features while maintaining speed and rigor in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in machine learning or data science
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product, clinical, and engineering
• Ability to translate ambitious science into a credible plan and push back on unrealistic estimates
• Senior ML or data science leadership in a science-driven product company is the bar
• High agency, low ego; able to move fast and own outcomes

Responsibilities

• Set and hold the technical quality bar across the team's work
• Partner with the team to build credible timelines and roadmaps
• Co-own the ML team's roadmap with the Co-founder & CSO
• Manage day-to-day and grow Evvy's ML team
• Be the translator between the ML team and the rest of the company
• Partner with product and engineering to take models from prototype to shipped feature
• Help recruit, lead technical interviews and onboard new ML scientists
• Build rituals and systems for a small science team to move with speed and accountability
