Job summary

HDR in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Transit/Rail Engineer to lead complex railway projects, coordinating clients and design teams for commuter, freight, and transit work.

The role requires a PE license, 10 years of railway experience, and proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRail Designer/OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil3D. You will mentor staff and serve as a primary HDR contact.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Requires a professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng)).
• Proficient with MicroStation, OpenRail Designer/OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Skilled in technical writing, communicating, and presenting to clients and the public.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team on railway projects.
• Computer literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
