Job summary

CMI (Central Moloney) seeks a design engineer to develop mechanical systems for distribution transformers, including tanks, structural assemblies, and cooling features. You will prepare calculations, CAD models, drawings, and BOMs while applying industry standards and supporting testing and certification.

Engage with manufacturing, quality, and test teams to resolve issues and drive design improvements, leveraging five+ years of design experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
• At least five years of design engineering experience, including sheet metal design and/or welding engineering.
• Proficiency with engineering design and analysis tools.
• Transformer design, manufacturing processes, relevant standards, and transformer operating principles are beneficial.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
