Job summary

SDMyers in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Field Services Technician to lead critical transformer service projects in high-voltage environments. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to coordinate field crews across energized and de-energized work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–5 years transformer field service or related industrial work.
• Valid CDL with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support field crews to safely complete transformer service projects.
• Perform oil reclamation, hot oil cleaning, re-inhibiting, vacuum/retro filling, energized processing tasks.
• Conduct electrical testing where certified and collect oil samples.
• Install EP products (DryMax®, SampleSafe®, IR windows) and perform minor repairs on field equipment.
• Maintain safety protocols (LOTO, confined space) and document activities.
• Provide professional customer service and effective field communication.
