Job summary

Wintermeyer Ventures in Eagle, Idaho seeks a senior transactional attorney to independently manage a portfolio of business law matters and help grow the firm's transactional practice.

You will handle drafting, negotiations, and closings for contracts, buy-sell agreements, and corporate structuring, while leading private M&A diligence and deal execution. Idaho-licensed attorney with Westlaw experience preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of transactional or business law experience with independent end-to-end matter management.
• Experience in M&A, tax, or land use law with familiarity leading diligence, structuring, and deal closings.
• JD from an accredited law school and an active bar license transferable to Idaho.
• Strong client communication and responsiveness in a law firm setting.

About the Role

A growing boutique law firm is seeking a senior transactional attorney to independently manage a portfolio of business law matters. You will advise clients on transactions and help develop the firm's transactional practice.

What You'll Do

• Manage transactional matters from initial drafting through negotiation and completion, including contracts, buy-sell agreements, and corporate structuring.
• Lead small-to-mid-sized private M&A transactions through diligence, deal structuring, and closing.
• Advise clients on tax structuring, land use entitlements, zoning, and real estate transactions.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on complex matters and practice growth, and coordinate with litigation colleagues when disputes arise.

What We're Looking For

• At least 10 years of transactional or business law experience, including independent end-to-end matter management.
• Experience in M&A, tax, or land use law, with familiarity leading diligence, structuring, and deal closings.
• A JD from an accredited law school and an active bar license transferable to Idaho.
• Law firm experience and a record of substantive, responsive client communication.
• Comfort working in a growing, founder-led legal practice. Experience in Idaho or a comparable small-market practice is helpful.
• Experience with Westlaw and Westlaw AI.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $130,000 to $150,000 annually. The role includes an uncapped quarterly bonus based on revenue, hours, and captured work rate. Visa sponsorship is available.
