Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) in New York seeks a Principal or Signing Director to lead our Transaction Tax practice. You will manage client relationships, perform tax due diligence, and mentor team members in a fast-growing advisory environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 10+ years in federal/state/international tax, and a CPA license (JD/EA may substitute). Compensation is competitive and relocation/hybrid options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience performing federal, state, and/or international tax compliance, planning, and consulting services
• CPA license certification required. A JD degree or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification may be accepted in lieu of a CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with new business development, existing clients and mentoring team members.
• Develop client relationships by delivering tax due diligence, structuring, modeling and other engagements related to acquisitions and dispositions by private equity investor groups, family offices and strategic buyers.
• Work with CLA specialty tax groups as needed (SALT, International Tax, and Federal Tax Solutions).
• Perform tax due diligence projects through a review of tax returns, legal documents, and financial statements, and write and review tax due diligence reports.
