Job summary

CLA is seeking a Principal or Signing Director to join our Transaction Tax practice in a senior leadership capacity. You will manage client relationships, mentor teams, and oversee multiple engagements including tax due diligence, structuring, and modeling for acquisitions and dispositions where private equity, family offices, and strategic buyers are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA license is required; JD or EA may be accepted in lieu of CPA.
• 10+ years of experience in federal/state/international tax compliance and advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with new business development, existing clients and mentoring team members.
• Deliver tax due diligence, structuring, modeling and other engagements related to acquisitions and dispositions by PE groups, family offices and strategic buyers.
• Coordinate with SALT, International Tax, and Federal Tax Solutions teams as needed.
• Perform tax due diligence, review tax returns and legal/financial documents, and write reports.
• Lead engagements with time, budgets and deadlines awareness; foster entrepreneurial, flexible, autonomous work style.
• Oversee engagement progress and ensure quality deliverables within scope.
