Job summary

GFT in Marlton, NJ is seeking a Project Manager to join the Northeast Region Transportation Team, focusing on expanding GFT's presence in New Jersey and delivering major transportation projects for NJDOT, NJTA, and PANYNJ. The role leads multi-disciplinary teams on traffic and transportation projects, oversees studies, design, and documentation, and supports business development.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, NJ P.E., and proven leadership in NJ market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey.
• Substantial traffic/transportation engineering experience including project management, leadership, or mentoring.
• Experience growing a traffic/transportation group in New Jersey.
• Strong familiarity with NJDOT, NJTA, and PANYNJ standards and procedures.
• Proven ability to deliver design, traffic studies, signal design, MPT plans, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with HCS, Synchro, VISSIM and other traffic analysis tools.
• Experience leading proposals, pursuit strategies, and client engagements.
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills for multidisciplinary teams.
• Track record of successful project delivery and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and monitor traffic and transportation projects of varying size.
• Grow New Jersey traffic practice through recruitment, mentorship, and resource planning.
• Reinforce and expand GFT's market position with NJDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ, and regional agencies.
• Lead business development efforts including client relationships, pursuit strategy, and capture planning.
• Serve as Project Manager, Task Manager, and Traffic Technical Advisor on major pursuits and projects.
• Oversee traffic impact studies, modeling analyses, MPT plans, and related transportation studies.
• Ensure quality control, schedule adherence, and financial performance across projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent commitments with high technical standards.
• Prepare proposals, letters of interest, technical approaches, and presentations.
• Collaborate with roadway, bridge, planning, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
