Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Project Manager I – Traffic to lead traffic engineering projects across New England and beyond, guiding teams from planning through delivery. You will manage scope, schedule, and budgets while serving as the primary client liaison to ensure satisfaction and successful outcomes.

A PE license and PTOE are a plus, with opportunities to mentor staff and collaborate across disciplines on high-impact projects that shape transportation infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license and PTOE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the project scope and fee quotation; assist with proposals and contracts.
• Serve as the primary client liaison; manage scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, and production.
• Lead development and execution of the project management plan; mentor staff.
