Job summary

The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent plus six years in related areas, including two years in supervision; a valid NM driver's license and COP within six months. Weekend/on-call work is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent; six years in traffic control, construction zones, management or parking operations.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee parking and traffic control specialists; design and advise on barricading plans for events.
• Coordinate staffing and operations to complete assignments timely.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and policies.
• Manage placement and movement of traffic control devices.
• Coordinate road closures and signalization with other departments and agencies.
• Prepare traffic control plans for city events and advise event coordinators.
• Respond to inquiries and complaints; monitor traffic control in emergencies.
• Ensure proper installation and removal of traffic control materials.
• Drive safely to work zones; perform vehicle inspections and maintain sites.
• Respond to public inquiries and create reports documenting activities.
• Develop and administer budget; forecast staffing, overtime, and equipment needs.
• Select, train, motivate and evaluate personnel; handle discipline if needed.
