Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. We are growing our Global Mobility team and seek a Senior Traffic Project Manager to lead traffic engineering, ITS, and operations across the United States.

You will work with clients to deliver practical, sustainable mobility solutions, focusing on safe, efficient transportation amid climate change and urban growth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
• Degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 6 months; valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Experience with traffic analysis tools and field implementation of traffic signal timing.
• Professional credentials related to traffic, transportation, or operations research (e.g., PTOE, certified project manager) are a plus.
• Familiarity with design and traffic analysis software.
• Experience with state or local transportation projects.
• Familiarity with field audits, traffic sign and pavement marking design, or traffic signal field testing.
• Knowledge of local agency processes and permit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic operations, safety initiatives, travel demand analysis, and ITS design on a variety of projects.
• Conduct microsimulation and operational analyses to inform decisions (e.g., traffic flow and capacity).
• Develop signal timing plans, input data for centralized and local control systems, and design signing, pavement markings, and ITS layouts.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support operations and maintenance policies and their implementation for integrated corridor management.
