Job summary

The Osborn Engineering Company seeks highly skilled Traffic Engineers with 10-20 years of experience on ODOT-type design projects for our Ohio offices. This role reports to the Manager of Transportation Engineering and collaborates with project managers to meet client needs in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 10+ years related experience in Transportation project delivery.
• PE License in the State of Ohio required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Experience/knowledge of AASHTO and ODOT Design Criteria.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with OpenRoads Designer, Microstation, Geopak, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Continuous studying and training on the job is required.

Responsibilities

• Design roadway/highway improvement projects in Ohio and Florida.
• Model and develop traffic improvement solutions for local roads, highways and interstates.
• Perform traffic control studies and design including lane reconfiguration, interchanges, IOS, MOT, signaling, markings, and signing.
• Develop and evaluate engineering techniques and procedures.
• Interact with clients and sub-consultants on current projects.
• Possible periodic field construction observation and responding to RFIs during construction.
