Job summary

Arcadis U.S. Inc. in Atlanta seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to support public-sector transportation programs, perform traffic studies, plan reviews, and signal operations. This on-site role requires collaboration with client staff and external partners in the Atlanta metro area.

You will conduct field reviews, prepare defensible reports, and coordinate with consultants to advance projects from concept through construction, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training certification required; Professional Engineer registration in Georgia preferred.
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to conduct field reviews in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies and analyses, including traffic impact studies and signal evaluations.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings with defensible recommendations.
• Review traffic signing and pavement markings for compliance with standards.
• Support temporary traffic control plans for construction projects.
• Coordinate with consultants, developers, and agencies to move projects from concept to construction.
• Perform field reviews of intersections, corridors, and school zones; address citizen concerns.
• Assist with traffic signal plan design, operations, and documentation.
