Job summary

Parametrix is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to join our Southwest region team. You will lead traffic design, operations, and safety initiatives, mentor staff, and support business development with clients such as UDOT, NMDOT, NDOT, and local municipalities.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, PE license in UT/NV/NM, PTOE preferred, and 10+ years of experience. This role offers hybrid/remote options, a competitive salary range, and employee ownership benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE license in Utah, Nevada and/or New Mexico with reciprocity ability.
• PTOE certification preferred for the role.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in traffic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on traffic operations, signaling, roadway lighting, and traffic control plans.
• Manage and deliver traffic design/operations projects for state and local clients.
• Support business development and build client relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote collaboration.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders in project meetings and public forums.
• Apply safety-focused and Complete Streets principles in solutions.
