Job summary

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a dynamic Senior Traffic Engineer in our Traffic/ITS Group. Based in Lone Tree, CO or other North American offices, you will lead and mentor engineers on complex traffic projects and coordinate across design centers.

You will guide traffic operations, signal design, ITS, and roadway lighting, and lead production of reports, plans, and estimates for large infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering; traffic engineering emphasis desirable.
• Professional Engineer licensure required; PTOE recommended.
• 10+ years of transportation project experience with traffic design functions.
• Two or more subdisciplines: operations/safety, signal design, ITS, tolling, signing/markings, roadway lighting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and oversee staff in traffic subdisciplines.
• Develop traffic plans, signals, and ITS components for design-build projects.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, constructible designs.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project deliverables.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with clients to meet schedule and budget.
