Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer – Supervising Traffic Engineer to lead traffic studies across California, based in the Bay Area or Sacramento. You will mentor staff and provide technical input for PS&E packages and CEQA/NEPA documents.

Ideal candidates have a CA PE license, 6+ years of transportation planning and modeling experience, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience
• CA PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Masters degree preferred (Civil Engineering)
• Experience with California transportation projects and Caltrans
• Proficiency with traffic modeling software (Synchro/VISSIM) and design tools

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic studies for projects in California and support West Coast regional projects
• Provide technical input for PS&E packages and CEQA/NEPA documents
• Mentor engineers and technicians on traffic engineering concepts
• Develop cost estimates and budgets for traffic projects
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams
