Job summary

Freese and Nichols is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to lead traffic analyses and studies across the Carolinas from Greenville, Columbia, or Raleigh offices. You will guide transportation planning and design projects, delivering technically sound solutions that improve safety and mobility.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, and 6+ years of traffic engineering experience. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with planners and design teams on

As a Senior Traffic Engineer, you will lead traffic analyses and studies that support transportation planning and design projects across the Carolinas. You will work closely with transportation planners and engineers to deliver technically sound solutions that improve safety, operations, and mobility.

What You’ll Do

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting DOT or public-sector transportation projects
• Background in multimodal or corridor-level studies
