Job summary

AIG is seeking a Senior Trade Finance Underwriter to analyze credit and structure risk in trade transactions. The role supports multi-department collaboration with risk, tax, legal, and operations to ensure compliant and profitable financing solutions.

The position requires a finance or accounting degree and experience with trade credit products, letters of credit, and supply chain finance. Travel flexibility and a strong client-focus are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in finance or accounting.
• Mid-level experience in trade credit or risk team or related experience in banking/finance.
• Proven ability to distill accounts, financial and written information.
• Transactional experience in trade finance deals including receivables, payables, supply chain finance, letters of credit, trade loans.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analysis and recommend or approve credit limits and terms.
• Analyze trade life cycle and buyer/seller risks in trade transactions.
• Prepare quotations, credit memoranda, and transaction summaries for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with risk, credit, and legal teams to obtain approvals and validate structures.
• Own due diligence, structuring, and underwriting from origination to execution, including risk sizing and modelling.
