Job summary

Revitalize Mixers, LLC in Hobart, IN is seeking a Technician III to perform advanced repair and maintenance on tractors and equipment. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, use precision tools, and work largely independently while providing guidance to junior techs.

Responsibilities include rebuilding gear, performing preventive maintenance, electrical diagnostics with diesel laptop, operating a forklift, and documenting work orders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate, Vocational, or Technical Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• DOT brake certification and 1 year DOT inspections required.
• Fundamental knowledge of diesel and CNG engines, drive train, brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, HVAC, Emission and after treatment

Responsibilities

• Rebuild and refurbish equipment as specified
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections with tools and shop equipment
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs: PTO, hydraulics, emissions, A/C, cab, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, engine system, fuel system (CNG & diesel)
• Diagnose electrical issues using diesel laptop
• Complete work orders, charge labor, and other required documents using computer, manuals, parts book, and maintenance codes
• Operate forklift
• Wash equipment as needed
• Drive vehicles within company property
• Attend all safety required meetings and perform all work as per OSHA, State and Federal guidelines
• Acts as subject matter expert, aids management in training and mentoring
• Operate power tools such as drill presses, grinders, impact wrenches, welders, torches
• Sweep, mop and dispose trash/debris
• Yard maintenance such as snow removal
• Operate pressure washer hoses and utilize long handled brush
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
