Job summary

Rocket Lab in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for Space Sensing, overseeing EO/IR payload programs from concept to production. You will own the technical roadmap, manage cross-functional teams, and direct DoD/US government engagements, while balancing schedule and performance.

Base Pay Range (CA Only): $115,000 USD - $160,000 USD. Base salary is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package and equity options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required.
• 5+ years of end-to-end program management.
• Proven track record delivering hardware and software into production.
• Experience with EO/IR sensing or optical payloads.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead multi-program teams from concept to production.
• Make architectural decisions with Chief Engineers.
• Foster a culture of bold, fast decision making.
• Manage high-stakes subcontracts and suppliers.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across optics, electronics, software, and data.
• Serve as primary contact for US Government customers.
