Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM), Platform Operations, to lead high-impact, cross-functional programs across the Chewy ecosystem in Boston, MA. You will own end-to-end delivery across critical engineer journeys and foundational platforms including build, deployment, and cloud operations, partnering with Finance to manage infrastructure spend.

As a TPM, you’ll work with Engineering, Finance, and Platform teams to deliver multi-quarter initiatives that boost engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager delivering large-scale cross-functional technical initiatives.
• Proven experience leading multi-team, multi-system programs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong technical fluency with cloud resources, ecommerce technologies, and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience working with Finance and financial concepts.
• Ability to engage in architecture discussions, understand system tradeoffs, and influence technical decisions.
• Experience managing complex dependencies across engineering, product, data, and business stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to executives.
• Execution-focused mindset with ownership and bias toward action.

Responsibilities

• Translate business objectives into clear technical requirements, milestones, and execution plans.
• Define and manage tiered data storage across the cloud network.
• Set cloud technical and financial alarm thresholds and coordinate responses.
• Explain cloud spend costs to finance and technical issues to stakeholders.
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex programs from concept to launch and optimization.
• Navigate dependencies across backend services and platform infrastructure.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with engineering in architecture discussions to inform execution plans.
• Establish operational rigor through reviews, metrics, and retrospectives.
• Drive communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership.
• Own data governance in partnership with other disciplines.
