Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Director of Technical Program Management to lead large-scale programs that advance enterprise platforms and developer experience across the organization. You will drive strategic roadmaps, align with business priorities, and champion a disciplined TPM approach across multiple domains.

You will mentor TPM leaders, influence architectural decisions, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact technology initiatives in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• 9+ years of experience managing technical programs.
• Experience designing and building solutions using distributed computing or SOA is required.
• 5+ years building distributed systems and highly available services in cloud environments (prefer AWS).
• 5+ years leading TPM teams or influencing multiple organizations.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end strategic roadmap for enterprise platforms, ensuring modernization and scalability.
• Own executive communications on delivery status, risk, and architectural decisions.
• Establish and scale TPM best practices, governance, and OKR-based models.
• Influence investment prioritization to optimize long-term agility and cost efficiency.
• Mentor TPM leaders to foster high-performance delivery culture.
