Job summary
Merck seeks an Associate Director, Technical Project Management to drive digital, automation, and data integration across capital projects in the Digital Manufacturing Division. You will lead cross-functional teams through FEL, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and qualification, ensuring compliant, validated, and scalable solutions.
You will coordinate with Engineering, Automation, IT, Quality, and external partners to deliver robust systems within cGMP and data integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; 10+ years in technical support or project leadership.
- Experience delivering automation or digital scope in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of automation systems (DeltaV, PLC/SCADA) and MES/data integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of digital and automation scope across capital project phases including FEL and commissioning.
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, risks, and dependencies to align with project objectives.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, data integrity, cybersecurity, and lifecycle management requirements.
- Coordinate system integration across automation platforms and enterprise data systems.
