Job summary

Google DeepMind seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager for AI Safety to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programs and plan requirements with internal customers. You will usher projects through the entire lifecycle, communicating risks and tradeoffs to stakeholders and executives.

In this role, you will manage an engineering-focused portfolio spanning short-term model development to frontier AGI safety initiatives, coordinating with Gemini Release, Model Behavior, and research teams

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 5 years of leadership experience with/without direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI Safety programs and related training data initiatives.
• Manage a broad portfolio from near-term model development to long-term safety research.
• Coordinate cross-functionally across Gemini Release, Model Behavior, and research teams.
• Engage with technical detail on safety evaluations and loss functions with researchers.
• Surface blockers, streamline execution, and prepare crisp executive reviews.
