Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a senior toxicology specialist for a remote, home-based role within the Toxicology Practice Team. The candidate will conduct chemical and product risk assessments, read and summarize forensic and scientific documents, and deliver testimony or liaison support as needed.

The position requires a Ph.D. or M.S. with 5+ years in toxicology, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency with Zoom/Teams; travel is limited to 10–20%.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./M.S. degree or international equivalent required.
• 5+ years of direct toxicology industry experience.
• Experience in consulting, manufacturing, consumer products, regulatory, environmental, forensic or related toxicology roles.
• Experience handling confidential information and summarizing forensic, scientific and legal documentation.
• Ability to work remotely with proficient online collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and product evaluations to determine exposure levels and health risks.
• Convey findings to clients in a meaningful way.
• Demonstrate exceptional writing for scientific, legal and lay audiences.
• Capture and manage case work; effectively manage caseload.
• Communicate with leadership and colleagues; support business development.
• Develop and transmit budgets for engagements.
• Provide litigation, scientific liaison and regulatory toxicology support as needed.
