Job summary

The Town of Farragut is seeking a full-time Town Planner to lead the Planning Department, overseeing zoning, subdivisions, and related activities under the Director of Public Services. The role requires a Master’s degree and substantial experience in municipal planning.

Starting pay is $102,690 annually with a range up to $131,572, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement contributions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises planning dept activities including zoning, subdivisions, and signage.
• Develops long- and short-range plans and coordinates with other departments.
• Reviews site plans for conformance with regulations and conducts inspections.
• Prepares recommendations for Planning Commission and Board reviews.
• Maintains records and responds to citizen inquiries and grant opportunities.
